The current install is SQL Server 2008 R2 32-bit, I had to download the SQL Server 2008 R2 SP3 update in 32-bit to get SQL Server 2017 Express installer to run. Which was fine. But all I"m getting is this error now:
All I could find online is you need the 32-bit version to upgrade the 32-bit version but there is only one installer provided from Microsoft and it worked on another machine just fine.
I tried downloading media again as ISO, and tried advanced version installation. Basically every installer you can download except standalone DB
Please any help much appreciated.
